While on an artist led audio tour of downtown Houston I found that I was not listening to the words being spoken through the headphones. Instead I was attracted to the sight of my fellow participants as they followed audio instructions without any interaction with each other or their surroundings. This was entertaining at first but as the tour progressed and became more conceptual I became uneasy while the others blindly followed the instructions being given to them by the anonymous voice. Not one person was thinking for themselves. All they did was stop, look and listen.
